So, I'm working on a ENA 5071B on which I've installed the firmware A08.01 firt( but bugs) onto realize an external test set.then I've installed firmware A06.51 and all works...for this kind of measure!rkoioqvwt

now I can't save datas in touchstone format rkoioqvwt

and I would like to know if it's possible to control, measure and calibrate the power on the DUT plane with this firmware?(in the external test set configuration)

1 fusarium The ENA with 6.51 firmware should be able to save touchstone files internally through the Save/Recall->SnP menu (see Chapter 10 of the ENA's Manual). If you do not see this menu, it could be due to an issue with how the firmware was downgraded from 8.01 to 6.51. If this is the case, you may want to reimage the ENA using the system recovery diskette that shipped with the unit or create a new one based on the link.

Which test set are you using with the ENA? With the E5091A, only 4 ports will be active at a time. Because of this you can use the standard source power calibration functionality built into the ENA through the Cal->ower Calibration menu (see Chapter 4 of the ENA's Manual). You will need a power meter and 82357A (must be an A model) USB to GPIB interface to complete the source power cal on the ENA-B.

2 fujun2013 thank you for answering so quickly!

I use an external test set with the ENA 5071B for building a power measurement bench.

in fact, my bench is composed by the 4 port VNA, an amplifier, a bi-directionnal coupler (2 issues return in the VNA with attenuators) and the DUT is just after the coupler.

the problem is that we can't know exactlyhow high is the power recieved by the DUT!
