1 lassa One of the most comprehensive is Coombs Printed Circuit Handbook.

It is available on this forum at: http://www.edaboard.com/viewtopic.php?t=104868

3 fusarium There is no single "cookbook" on designing printed circuit boards. A printed circuit is an electronic component with inductance, capacitance, resistance, and material losses. Some or all of those things have to be considered, depending on the kind of circuit you are designing.

There are a couple of excellent books that cover some of the considerations for designing a good circuit board. These are just two from a dozen or so that should be in a PCB designer's library.
